Barbara Ann Corcoran

 Barbara Ann Corcoran (born March 10, 1949) is an American businesswoman, investor and speaker. She is also a consultant, speaker writer, syndicated columnist, TV personality, author and author. The Corcoran Group was a New York City real estate brokerage she established. NRT purchased it for $66 million in 2001. Corcoran later left the business. One of the show's first "Shark" investors, Corcoran has appeared in every season of ABC's Shark Tank until now. Since February of 2020, she had signed 53 deals with the show, with the most significant being a $350,000 investment in 40 percent of Coverplay. Corcoran was the second of 10 children from a family of Irish Catholics who worked hard was born in Edgewater in New Jersey. Florence Corcoran was Florence's mom and also a housekeeper. Edwin W. Corcoran Jr. his father was a multi-talented worker throughout the years of Corcoran's childhood. Her family often relied on free food deliveries from the local grocer. Corcoran remembers her fatheras a man who sometimes drank too much, and treated her mother with disrespect and condescendingly, especially after he'd had a few drinks. Corcoran struggled throughout her schooling before discovering that she had dyslexia. Corcoran started high school at St. Cecilia High School Englewood following her departure from her Catholic elementary school. Corcoran completed her studies at Leonia High School with a diploma in English, despite failing several courses during her freshman years.
